THE ESSENTIALS

Start with your next cup.

Three simple parts of the Zilmi routine, all available in your tea journal.

01

Capture a brew

Add a tea lot, start a session, and log each infusion. Photograph the liquor in the same white cup, then add dose, temperature, steep time, and tasting notes.

02

Follow the color

Tap an infusion to revisit its photo and settings. Compare matching infusions from two sessions to see how your brewing choices changed the cup.

03

Save an experiment

Build a local report from your recorded sessions. Your first three reports are free; each additional report costs 26 coins.

Where are my tea records and photos saved?

Your tea lots, infusion photos, notes, recordings, reports, and coin balance are stored on this device. Zilmi currently does not sync them to another device. Signing out keeps the local journal; deleting the account in the app removes it.

How do I play a spoken tasting note?

Open the session, select the infusion, and tap Play in its Spoken note card. You can also play the note while editing that infusion. If recording is in progress, stop it or save the infusion to keep the note.

Why does a photo look different in the color chart?

Lighting, camera angle, and cup color affect the visible liquor color. Use the same white cup and similar light for each infusion. If Zilmi flags a noticeable lighting difference, retake or replace that photo in the infusion editor.

How do experiment reports and coins work?

The first three experiment reports are free. After those are used, creating a new report costs 26 coins. Recording tea and viewing existing entries do not cost coins. Coin packs are one-time in-app purchases handled by Apple.

What if a coin purchase does not complete?

Check your App Store connection and whether in-app purchases are enabled on your device. If you were charged but the coins are missing, email us with the product, approximate purchase time, and Apple transaction ID if available. For a refund, use Apple's purchase support. Please never send your Apple ID password or payment card details.

How do I allow camera, photos, or microphone access?

Open iPhone Settings, find Zilmi, and enable the permission you want. Camera is used for tea liquor photos, Photos for importing images you choose, and Microphone for optional spoken notes.

What is the difference between signing out and deleting my account?

Signing out returns you to the welcome screen while keeping the journal on this device. Profile → Delete account permanently removes the local profile, tea records, photos, reports, and coin balance. This cannot be undone in the current version.
